OPERATING SYSTEM

General Information

The Operating Systems course introduces key OS principles, design, and implementation for computer science students. Starting June 30, 2025, it runs for 12 weeks, with classes twice weekly (10:00 AM–12:00 PM EAT) at the computer science department.

Requirements

  • Prerequisites: Basic programming and data structures
  • Resources: Operating System Concepts (10th Ed.), PC with 8GB RAM
  • Participation: Mandatory in lectures and labs

Assessment

  • Assignments (30%), Midterm (20% - Aug 11), Project (25% - Sep 15), Final Exam (25% - Oct 7), Participation (5%)
